Airport in View; Malaga


Mjet flies several times daily to the main
gateway for the Costa Del Sol; Malaga. The city
can be reached from over 30 destinations in
Europe and Northern Africa, this means that
Malaga is truly a Mjet-base and has been
already for many years. Six aircraft are based at
the airport, flying an average of 12.000 flights
per year and transporting over 4 million
passengers.
Malaga is a year-round destination with growing

Malaga airport is located 8 km from the city
centre with excellent transportation links to the
whole of the Costa del Sol. The airport has a rail
link to the city center of Malaga, Torremolinos,
Benalmadena and Fuengirola. The high way
access connects with the entire coastline,
stretching from Almeria to Gibraltar. It is one of
the oldest Spanish airports as well as being one
of the original locations of the first airline
founded in Spain in 1919.
Malaga airport is undergoing a major
infrastructure modernisation process, both in the
terminal area and on the airfield, as part of "Plan
Malaga". A new runway will be built to ensure
even more growth in the future.
Holidays at the Costa Del Sol attract a variety of
visitors every year. The Costa Del Sol beaches
are perfect for holiday makers with their fine
sands and gorgeous blue waters. There are so
many accommodations to choose from, that you
really are spoilt for choice.
The Costa Del Sol is nicknamed the Sun Coast
and when you visit you will understand why. The
average temperature is around 22°C with the
average water temperature being 18°C. During
the summer months, the water temperature can
reach up to 23°C making water sports perfect. If
you want to avoid visiting in the hottest months
then visit in May or June where temperatures
are around 27°C. The highest summer
temperature tends to be around 30°C.
