Mjet has based several aircraft at the north
German city of Hamburg. And there are enough
reasons to think of why we did that. If you have
not been there before, now it's the time!

Hamburg’s most popular street of the St.Pauli-
area is a nightclub and red-light district as well.
Besides red-light business you will also find
many variety theatres, restaurants, music-clubs
and discos.

The most famous street of Hamburg got its name
from the old german word reep which means an
old heavy rope for a ship. During 1600 and 1880
the space north of today’s street Reeperbahn
was used as a ropewalk for the production of
ropes for the nearby harbour.

Today you also see many “normal” restaurants,
music-clubs and theatres at the Reeperbahn like
e.g. “Schmidt” or the “Operettenhaus”. Due to
this change the citizens of Hamburg were also
interested into the Reeperbahn again.

HafenCity
In the middle of the town the HafenCity is built
at Hamburg Harbour. Attractive living spaces and
complex monuments are built beside the
Speicherstadt. A lot is done and its already very
interesting walking across the biggest town
planning project of Europe.

During summertime there are exceptionally many
people visiting the HafenCity to get a first
impression of the new quarter. But also in
autumn and winter many people are coming to
learn more about the quarter between
Elbbrücken and Kehrwiederspitze.

Jungfernstieg
The wonderful Jungfernstieg is located between
the Reesendammbridge and the Gänsemarkt. It
is one of the most beautiful and exquisite
shopping streets in the whole world.

Demolition and rebuilding took away a bit of the
former masterly architecture of the Jungfernstieg
but there are still sights left in all their beauty –
e.g. the gorgeous “Alsterarkaden”.

It was renovated only some time ago. There are
plenty of exquisite shops in the inner of the
“Alsterarkaden”. Also in the passage at the
“Hamburger Hof” you will be able to buy many
special products.

If shopping is not your thing, you can always
choose to cruise through the canals and the
port. Also it's possible to visit a soccermatch of
the local heroes at HSV or St. Pauli. Last but not
least you can visit Disney's The Lion King. This
show entertains you to the core.
