13 July 2010:
Fly Mjet orders Boeing 777-200ER's
During the recent Farnborough Air Show in the
UK, Fly Mjet was one of the biggest surprises
on the order list of Boeing.
Fly Mjet has decided to buy 10 Boeing 777-
200ER's directly from the Manufacturer. Besides
that Fly Mjet will also dry lease 5 Boeing 777-
200ER's from a Leasing company on short
notice. By this winter the first aircraft will
replace the A330 on several routes. The A330
will be used on Boeing 767-routes. The Boeing
767 will be withdrawn from service and returned
to the lessor.
Upcoming weeks new destinations will be
revealed. Main focus point from Brussels will be
Asia. From Barcelona we will focus on South
America and we will also open a new long haul
gateway in Europe. More on that topic very
soon...
12 July 2010:
New York loves Fly Mjet
As of this week one of our A330's is flying in a
different colour scheme. The aircraft has
additional "heart" New York titles on both sides.
Now it says Fly Mjet loves NY and vice versa,
how cool is that. It promotes our NY-services
out of Brussels and Barcelona. It is also the
start of a expansion plan with NY as the main
focus point.
